Path of Exile: A Witch's Painting

The Witch is Path of Exile's pure intelligence class, making her an unmatched master of the elemental and dark arts. She wields the power of raw magic to decimate her foes from a distance. Her tremendous will surrounds her with a shimmering barrier against physical and magical attacks, a barrier that must first be pierced before the Witch herself is vulnerable. In addition to pure damage-based magic, the Witch can also cripple and kill her enemies with curses and diseases. She is a leery friend, and a dangerous enemy, Dem exalted orbs.


Today we are sharing with you a Witch's Painting that we found on the POE forums.

1) It's the shading and perspective. It's profile in the face, and then 3/4 by the tits, and then god only knows why the sternum is shaded like that. And only god is privy to what's going on with the sternocleidomastoids. I normally don't comment on art, but this is a freaking travesty. And by that I mean, the difference between the artist's ability to render and basic anatomy / perspective / shading is huge. It's the sign of an artist who decided not to put time into fundamentals (I know from experience because I did the same thing) and went straight to paint-cool-things.

2) It's an illusion she put on herself to lure some would-be sailors into a trap she had set up. She lures them in with this enchantment to make her face pretty and smooth and her tittys big, the sailors see that she's just some helpless girl, cast ashore, and see her as an easy target. She then incinerates them and turns them into zombies.
Now everyone can enjoy this pretty art. :)

3) "They were right to fear me. If only they had listened to their cowardice. Had they not taken my home with fire, I would not have taken their children." Seems like her home got burned by some villagers, so she killed their children.

4) No. Witches are traditionally burnt upon stakes and by sisters she either refers to her actual sisters who were also witches who got burnt on the stake or due to their affiliation with her. Either that or she means her sisters in the art of witchcraft when she says that.
