I Hype for God, Path of Exile. Who Do You Hype for?

The skill throws a spectral copy of your shield that shatters on impact, striking surrounding enemies with shrapnel. This is the first skill to use shield defences for damage.

The skill is unique in its method of dealing damage and so it has a lot of special stats to make it a flexible skill. You can focus entirely on Armour or Evasion for maximising its physical damage with the 2-3 physical damage per 15 Armour or Evasion, which is good for Tower shields, Round Shields, and Bucklers. The skill has additional critical chance from the Energy Shield of your shield, so you can increase its critical chance while also boosting damage by using high level Kite Shields or Spiked Shields. You can focus entirely on critical chance by using a Spirit Shield, and rely entirely on added damage. The skill has a large amount of Added Damage that grows as the skill gem levels, providing a decent boost that makes the skill still do damage even if your shield's armour or evasion is a little low. What Reasons Can Make People Love Path of Exile?

Path of Exile is considered by many to be the true spriritual successor to Diablo 2. It's dark, gritty and far more complex than its counterpart Diablo 3. If you're going to play an ARPG, you really should play PoE. Here are four reasons to love this game.

It's Free!

This is perhaps the best thing about PoE. Micro-transactions exist, but this game is definitely not pay-to-win. Micro-transactions areonly for cosmetic items and a few other features for convenience. The whole game, however, is available for free. Players are even able to create multiple accounts and characters and have more than one logged in simultaneously. This allows players to have a virtually unlimited amount of inventory space without having to buy stash tabs or character slots, though theseare more convenient.

It's Unusual

With gameplay reminiscentof Diablo (and ultimately inspiring Diablo II), the game's graphics are far from the fantasy settings of most RPGs. PoE isstill in squarely in the fant…

New to Path of Exile? Here's a Beginner's Guide for Windripper

If you’ve gotten this far, you might have heard of Windripper farming. It’s no secret that the best way to optimize your Vault profits is with Item Quantity (IQ) gear. Adding more IQ means more drops, plain and simple. Increased Rarity doesn’t do a ton for us because we don’t care that much about Unique items. We’re farming for pure path of exile orbs drops and divination cards, neither of which are affected by rarity. So IQ all the way!

This is where Windripper comes in. Windripper is a bow that grants 15% IQ from frozen enemies. Since we freeze nearly every enemy with Herald of Ice and our critical hit probability, this is basically a 15% increase in IQ across the board. With IQ farming being the best way to get gold, this is just one more IQ item that pushes our farming to the next level.

Basic Gear
Windripper isn’t an incredibly strong bow, as far as meta bows go. But, as we’ve discussed, using it allows you to have a much higher profit through the IQ on it. As for an amulet, you’…
